Job summary

Solidus Resources, a U.S.-based gold development company, is seeking a Mine Hydrogeologist to lead groundwater and dewatering at the Lovelock, NV mine site. The role integrates dewatering into short-, medium-, and long-term plans, coordinating with operations, engineering and regulatory teams.

The position requires a Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering field and 5+ years in hydrogeology or mine-dewatering, with strong skills in modeling, procedures, and cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering field.
• 5+ years of hydrogeology or mine-dewatering experience, including open-pit mining.
• Experience coordinating contractors, consultants and multidisciplinary teams.
• Experience developing and implementing technical procedures and SOPs.
• Strong understanding of how dewatering interacts with drilling, blasting and mine sequencing.

Responsibilities

• Lead hydrogeological investigations, field programs and dewatering studies.
• Translate groundwater data and mine plans into practical dewatering requirements.
• Maintain the site dewatering strategy and address water-related risks.
• Lead planning, installation, operation, monitoring and abandonment of dewatering wells.
• Coordinate drilling and dewatering activities with Operations, Engineering, contractors and consultants.
• Establish procedures for mining near wells, including well protection and abandonment.
• Oversee in-pit pumping, sumps and pipelines to ensure adequate capacity.
• Develop response plans for inflows, storms and pumping-system failures.
• Serve as primary contact for groundwater and water-balance modeling consultants.
• Provide mine plans, sequencing and pumping data; review model assumptions and results.
• Translate modeling outputs into operational plans and coordinate updates.
