Job summary

HyAxiom in South Windsor, CT is seeking an Engineer, Test/Electrical Design Engineering to lead test stand development and verification for PAFC and PEM projects. You will collaborate with the onsite LabVIEW expert and cross-functional teams to implement hardware changes and ensure robust testing.

Qualifications

• BS degree with 2-5+ years of experience in engineering.
• MS degree with 0-2+ years of experience.
• Degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering or related field.
• LabVIEW knowledge is a strong plus.
• Strong understanding of hardware and test stand concepts.

Responsibilities

• Focus technical skills of on hardware selection, custom component determination, component modeling, building component test rigs, running performance tests, and troubleshooting.
• Work with onsite LabVIEW expert to understand / implement hardware changes into test stand software.
• Focus on root cause analysis regarding variance resolution and ensure up to date standard of work documentation.
• Proactively identify patterns in conflicting information and constructively resolve.
• With moderate guidance and direction, generate component specifications from component-level requirement documents, and review prior to formal pursuit.
• Share component specifications with potential suppliers to identify suitable Commercial Off the Shelf (COTS) component availability or develop suitable parts.
• Ensure new componentry has been validated and thoroughly documented prior to production release.
