Job summary

HyAxiom is seeking a Sr. Engineer, Electrical Engineering in South Windsor, CT to lead design and integration of fuel cell–based microgrids for data centers. You will optimize energy management, develop control strategies, and ensure high reliability and safety in complex power systems.

The role requires 5+ years in microgrid or data center power design, strong schematics and DFMEA/PFMEA skills, and collaboration with mechanical, software and operations teams to deploy robust energy solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Power Systems Engineering.
• 5+ years in designing microgrid or data center power systems with knowledge of power systems, energy management, and renewable integration.
• Understanding of internal data center needs is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design and integrate fuel cell systems into microgrid architectures for data centers.
• Optimize performance, efficiency and scalability for high-demand data center applications.
• Create electrical schematics, documentation and risk mitigation artifacts.
• Develop control strategies for coordinated operation with other energy sources.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and provide system support.
