Job summary

Brookfield Asset Management Inc. seeks a Maintenance Technician to oversee the safe, efficient operation and maintenance of hydroelectric stations. You will perform hands-on electrical/mechanical maintenance, troubleshoot and repair turbine/generator systems and high voltage equipment, and ensure compliance with HSSE policies.

The role involves gate changes, data collection, and reporting, with on-site responsibilities in Winslow, ME and potential overtime or on‑call duties as needed.

Qualifications

• Troubleshooting skills and experience preferred.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license and be willing and able to travel and stay overnight for employer business purposes such as training, corporate meetings.

Responsibilities

• Operate, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair turbines and associated equipment at hydro facilities.
• Perform gate changes as instructed and report changes; monitor conditions and collect data during high runoff periods.
• Safely start/stop units and perform routine maintenance on machinery and equipment.
• Identify and repair hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems; analyze problems and troubleshoot.
