Job summary

Thompson Industrial, powered by Clean Harbors, is seeking an Equipment Operator to support safe execution of jobs across service lines. You will operate vacuum trucks and hydroblasting equipment, acting as a safety representative for both Thompson Industrial and the customer.

The role requires hands-on operation, equipment maintenance, and transporting crews to sites. We welcome transitioning military personnel seeking civilian roles, with opportunities for growth and benefits after onboarding.

Qualifications

• English comprehension to follow safety training and respond to emergencies.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Experience operating a vacuum truck.
• Knowledge of emergency equipment such as fire extinguishers.
• Familiar with wet and dry vacuum operations.

Responsibilities

• Safety representative for company and customer policies and procedures.
• Operate hydroblasting equipment when required.
• Operate vacuum trucks and related equipment.
• Transport equipment and personnel to job sites.
• Complete pre- and post-trip inspections and DOT compliance.
• Direct a crew of vacuum technicians.
• Perform routine maintenance on equipment.
• Load and unload hoses; unload vacuum truck at sites.
• Provide general field maintenance.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
