Job summary

Voith Hydro is seeking a prep operator trainee in York, PA, to support the North American Hydro division. You will work on unique one-off components for large hydroelectric machines, cutting and rolling steel while receiving on-the-job training.

The position provides hands-on training, exposure to precision fabrication, and the chance to grow within a global technology group. High school diploma required with strong safety and teamwork mindset.

Summary: We are seeking a prep operator trainee to support North American Hydro division in York PA, In the position you will work on unique one-off components for some of the largest hydroelectric machines in the world. Cutting and rolling various thicknesses and grades of steel. This is a trainee position so all training is on the job training.

Responsibilities :

• Operate forklift for moving small components.
• Perform 15 ton or less overhead crane lifts.
• Completion of blueprint reading classes.
• Clean and protect parts.
• Cutting plate on NC table.
• Gas and plasma cutting bevels.
• Grinding parts.
• Hot forming.

Education and Experience:

Physical Requirements

• Occasional bending and twisting.
• Able to lift 50 LBS on occasion.
• Extended lengths of standing or sitting.
• Prolonged periods standing and performing repetitive tasks.
• Must have excellent hand-eye coordination.
• Must wear all required PPE for job task.
