Job summary

Voith Group in York, PA is seeking a Utility Worker to support our North American Hydro manufacturing team. The role requires the ability to prioritize multiple assignments and work independently to keep operations running smoothly.

Key responsibilities include safe use of PPE, assisting machine operators with setup and teardown, housekeeping, and maintaining tools and materials. Strong reliability and self-motivation are valued in this hands-on position.

Responsibilities

• Perform all work safely with the correct PPE for the task at hand.
• Assist machine operators with setup and teardown as necessary or assigned.
• Maintain machine tools, setup equipment clean and organized.
• Deburr components and grind weld holding clips as necessary.
• Empty garbage containers daily; empty cardboard basket and outside municipal trash scows weekly.
• Empty used shop rag containers at each work station daily and supply new rags when needed.
• Manage oil storage inventory and replace full waste oil & coolant drums.
• Support material handlers/riggers as necessary or assigned.
• Utilize Fork Lift to move and manage products in and out of the department safely.
• Complete daily PM form at start of shift.
• Sweep and wash floors daily; replace disposable floor mats as necessary.
• Pickup and store unused pallets, wood blocking, hoses, and other potential trip hazards.
• Manage and maintain pneumatic air tools, hydraulic jacks, air lines, etc.
• Refill spill response containers as necessary.
• Maintain flammable liquid safety cabinets and replenish chemicals as needed.
• Perform general duties as instructed by supervision.
