Job summary

Roquette Group in Gurnee, Illinois, is seeking a Hydro Operator to support safe, environmental, and quality-compliant plant operations. You will perform Hydrogenation Operator duties and monitor process equipment, with a 24/7 rotating shift schedule in our Gurnee plant.

The role requires standing up to long shifts, handling catalysts and chemicals, and maintaining logs, with responsibilities across safety, equipment operation, and process optimization.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Manufacturing, chemical processing, industrial operations, or related experience preferred.
• Ability to qualify on the Hydrogenation Operator position within the designated timeframe.
• Forklift driving certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support and adhere to safety, environmental, and quality requirements.
• Perform Hydrogenation Operator duties.
• Operate and monitor process equipment using the Foxboro DCS system and field equipment.
• Conduct routine inspections, sampling, troubleshooting, and process adjustments.
• Handle catalyst and process chemicals and perform manual operations as required.
• Collaborate with maintenance, contractors, and plant staff.
• Maintain process logs and records.
• Keep the workplace clean and free of product buildup.
• Participate in Process Safety Management (PSM).
• Perform other duties as assigned.
