Job summary

Southern California Edison seeks an on-site Utilityman for Big Creek to support hydro operations across multiple powerhouses, performing custodial and light maintenance while assisting crews and handling logistics.

You will help keep facilities in good condition, transport supplies, and report any abnormal conditions. The role requires a proactive, safety-focused approach and willingness to work across a mountainous regional service area.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• General custodial work experience in hands-on, physical, or industrial environments.
• Ability to work a 4x10 schedule (Mon–Thu).
• Valid Class C driver''s license and ability to operate a company vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Perform minor maintenance and custodial duties within powerhouses and related facilities, including cleaning, organizing work areas, and trash removal.
• Maintain structures and grounds, including general housekeeping and upkeep of assigned facilities.
• Transport parts, materials, and supplies between powerhouses, warehouses, and work locations.
• Support electricians, mechanics, operators, and other crews by providing general assistance as needed.
• Provide logistical support, including occasional meal shuttling during extended or outage work.
• Observe equipment and facilities and report abnormal conditions to appropriate personnel.
• Follow written and verbal instructions and comply with safety and operational requirements.
