Job summary

Southern California Edison is seeking a Utilityman for Big Creek, CA to provide hands-on custodial and facility support across multiple crews in the hydro operations. You will work on-site across powerhouses, performing maintenance, housekeeping, and logistical tasks to help keep operations safe and efficient.

The role requires a high school diploma, custodial experience in industrial settings, a valid California driver’s license, and the ability to work a 4x10 schedule Monday–Thursday.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• General custodial work experience in hands-on, physical, or industrial environments.
• Ability to work a 4x10 schedule (Monday–Thursday).
• Valid Class C driver’s license and ability to operate a company vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Perform minor maintenance and custodial duties within powerhouses and related facilities, including cleaning, organizing work areas, and trash removal
• Maintain structures and grounds, including general housekeeping and upkeep of assigned facilities
• Transport parts, materials, and supplies between powerhouses, warehouses, and work locations
• Support electricians, mechanics, operators, and other crews by providing general assistance as needed
• Provide logistical support, including occasional meal shuttling during extended or outage work
• Observe equipment and facilities and report abnormal conditions to appropriate personnel
• Follow written and verbal instructions and comply with safety and operational requirements
