Job summary

United States Digital Space LLC seeks a Mechanical Engineer to lead the mechanical design for hydro power projects, including tunnels, caverns, and BOP systems. You will coordinate with civil, architectural, and construction teams, interface with OEMs, and support commissioning and owner operations.

Ideal candidates have a BS in Mechanical Engineering with 6+ years in MEP for large power projects and a strong CAD background. Travel and office presence may be required in the USA.

Qualifications

• BS (or MS) in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited program.
• Total of about 10 years experience; 6+ years in MEP design for large power/industrial projects.
• Experience with hydropower projects and BOP systems.
• Professional/Chartered Engineer preferred; strong CAD skills required.

Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical design for hydro power project elements (tunnels, caverns, machinery).
• Coordinate with civil/geotechnical, architectural, and construction teams.
• Interface with OEMs for system integration and handover.
• Support commissioning and owner operations readiness.
• Review and approve mechanical deliverables for code compliance and specs.
