They have designed, built, and deployed numerous turbine and power solutions worldwide, offering turnkey project execution and full asset lifecycle care. Due to significant growth and investment in their engineering and manufacturing capabilities, they've decided to build out their in-house EPC team. As the Mechanical Engineer, you will create deliverables for EPC projects - including calculations, equipment specifications, and P&IDs - while helping to establish and refine in-house mechanical standards. You'll collaborate closely with their integrated EPC team to deliver high-quality, world-class solutions.

The Mechanical Engineer's Responsibilities Will be:
  • Performs mechanical design of projects from the conceptual phase through design completion.
  • Modifies and reviews production drawings for a variety of power projects.
  • Designs mechanical components in line with project needs set by project managers.
  • Writes technical specifications for equipment and material procurement or installation during construction.
  • Produces design calculations and system flow models for balance of plant piping systems and equipment.
  • Helps develop and maintain piping system design guidelines and specifications adhering to industry codes and standards.
  • Helps develop and maintain a database of standard pipe support details for new EPC projects.
  • Maintains standard equipment specifications, updating them with design improvements and lessons learned.
  • Works with in-house and third-party designers to route piping systems, including simple cycle gas balance of plant systems.
  • Quality checks the project 3D model with the design team to identify interferences and constructability optimizations.
  • Resolves client comments on mechanical deliverables.
  • Completes as-builts using RFIs, ECNs, and red-marked drawings to develop "Conformed to Construction Records."
  • Seeks ways to improve customer satisfaction, work product quality, and operating efficiencies.
  • Helps develop, review, and implement guidelines to ensure design standardization across engineering platforms.
  • Stays current with the latest technology and industry practices, applying them where appropriate.
  • Interprets and incorporates relevant design codes and specifications.
  • Checks designs for consistency, safety, operability, quality, and maintenance requirements prior to submission.
The Mechanical Engineer's Qualifications Will be:
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (minimum)
  • Experience writing equipment procurement specifications and reviewing vendor submittals for compliance with specifications or EPC contracts.
  • Familiarity with 2D and 3D CAD applications to coordinate drawing deliverables.
  • Working knowledge of design software such as Plant 3D, Navisworks, AutoCAD, Fathom, Caesar or Autopipe, Word, and Excel.
  • Strong team player who accepts direction well and contributes individually to team success.
  • Able to manage multiple responsibilities and tasks with set expectations.
  • Applies knowledge independently, ensuring compliance with quality programs and supporting continuous improvement.
  • Comfortable with change and ambiguity; adaptable, collaborative, and a systems thinker.
  • Provides guidance on department design guides, standards, and applicable engineering codes.
  • Works collaboratively with Project Managers, Engineers, Designers, and constructability personnel across multi-disciplined project teams.
  • US work authorization required; unable to consider candidates who require visa sponsorship.
  • Must satisfactorily complete pre-employment drug screen and background check.
