Job summary

Profrac is seeking a Hydraulic Technician with experience in diagnosing, repairing and maintaining mobile hydraulic and pneumatic equipment used in oilfield operations. The role requires ability to test and verify performance, inspect startup parameters, and perform routine maintenance.

Candidates should have at least a high school diploma, hydraulic/mechanical experience, and be able to work independently or as part of a team. On‑the‑job training is provided, with shift work and overtime likely.

Qualifications

• Hydraulic experience and mechanical experience preferred.
• Must have one (1) year experience as a Hydraulic Technician I to qualify for promotion to Hydraulic Technician II.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, adjust, repair, or overhaul mobile mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic equipment.

• Inspect machinery at startup to ensure correct pressures, fan speeds, and leaks.
• Minor diagnostics of oilfield equipment.
• Dismantle and reassemble hydraulic equipment using hoists and hand tools.
• Clean, lubricate, and perform routine maintenance on equipment and vehicles.
• Read and understand operating manuals on oilfield equipment.
• Performs other related duties as required

Responsibilities

• Test mechanical products and equipment after repair or assembly to ensure proper performance and compliance with manufacturer’s specifications.
• Repair and replace damage or worn parts.
• Inspect machinery at time of start up to ensure correct pressures, fan speeds, and free of leaks.
• Minor diagnostics of oilfield equipment.
• Dismantle and reassemble hydraulic equipment using hoists and hand tools.
• Clean, lubricate, and perform other routine maintenance work on equipment and vehicles.
• Visual examination of all hydraulic systems on equipment.
• Read and understand operating manuals on oilfield equipment.

• The essential duties of this position require moderate to heavy lifting. Heavy lifting is exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, up to 50 pounds of force frequently, up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
• Exposure to moderate noise levels, vibrations and bright lights.
• Exposure to all climate types: hot and cold temperatures, humidity, rain, snow, etc.
• Able to wear common protective or safety equipment such as safety shoes, glasses, gloves, hearing protection and hard hats when needed.
• Activities may involve being around moving machinery, exposure to marked changes in temperature and humidity, and exposure to dust, fumes and gases.
• Working of irregular hours required.

• Travel, overnight and multiple stay is a requirement.
