Job summary

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, adjust, repair, or overhaul mobile hydraulic equipment such as frac units.
• Test repaired equipment to ensure performance and specifications.
• Repair and replace damaged or worn parts.
• Inspect machinery at startup for correct pressures and leaks.
• Perform routine maintenance like cleaning and lubrication.
• Read and understand operating manuals for oilfield equipment.
• Handle hydraulic disassembly/reassembly with hand tools and hoists.

Job description

Responsibilities:

• Diagnose, adjust, repair, or overhaul mobile mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic equipment, such as frac units, nitrogen units and blenders, etc.
• Test mechanical products and equipment after repair or assembly to ensure proper performance and compliance with manufacturer’s specifications.
• Repair and replace damage or worn parts.
• Inspect machinery at time of start up to ensure correct pressures, fan speeds, and free of leaks.
• Minor diagnostics of oilfield equipment.
• Dismantle and reassemble hydraulic equipment using hoists and hand tools.
• Clean, lubricate, and perform other routine maintenance work on equipment and vehicles.
• Visual examination of all hydraulic systems on equipment.
• Read and understand operating manuals on oilfield equipment.
• Performs other related duties as required

• Employee is required to accomplish hard physical labor in many different conditions including lifting equipment.
• Must demonstrate manual dexterity and be able to use hands to handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls.
• The essential duties of this position require moderate to heavy lifting. Heavy lifting is exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, up to 50 pounds of force frequently, up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
• Exposure to moderate noise levels, vibrations and bright lights.
• Exposure to all climate types: hot and cold temperatures, humidity, rain, snow, etc.
• Able to wear common protective or safety equipment such as safety shoes, glasses, gloves, hearing protection and hard hats when needed.
• Activities may involve being around moving machinery, exposure to marked changes in temperature and humidity, and exposure to dust, fumes and gases.
• Working of irregular hours required.
• Will involve shift work and overtime.
• Travel, overnight and multiple stay is a requirement.
