LFS, Inc., a Trident Seafoods subsidiary, seeks an entry-level Hydraulic Technician in Bellingham, WA. You will assist with installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of hydraulic systems while learning from senior technicians.

You will assess customer needs, replace fittings, and follow safety procedures. Some travel to Alaska divisions is required as part of the role, with full-time, year-round benefits and a competitive hourly wage.

Qualifications

LFS also has five year-round locations in Alaska: Anchorage, Cordova, Dutch Harbor, Homer (Kachemak Gear Shed), and Sitka; and two seasonal locations in Dillingham and Naknek. While our core business is supplying the commercial fishing industry, we have evolved to include industrial and sports netting sales, hydraulic sales and services, wholesale/industrial sales, recreational marine and outdoor sales, and internet sales.

LFS is looking for an entry level Hydraulic technician to assist with installation, maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of hydraulic systems and equipment.

Essential Functions (responsibilities, Tasks, Supervisory Needs)

• Work closely with senior technicians.
• Work with customers to assess equipment needs and to determine system requirements.
• Understand hydraulic system basics. (fittings, pumps, valves, cylinders)
• Inspects hydraulic lines and components to detect leaks, damage, and wear.
• Replace hydraulic hose fittings and make new hoses with fittings based on customer needs.
• Use of both technical and trouble shooting skills to determine solution to customer needs.
• Follow safety procedures to ensure equipment operates efficiently and safely.
• Travel to LFS divisions in Alaska to support hydraulic efforts in those divisions.

This is a full-time, 40 hour per week, year-round benefited position.

Pay range for position is $21-$25 per hour.
