Job summary

LFS, Inc., a subsidiary of Trident Seafoods, is seeking a self-driven sales professional in Anchorage, AK to build strong customer relationships in industrial and wholesale markets.

You will solicit orders from commercial, industrial, and wholesale customers, handle on-floor or phone conversations, travel to customer sites, and use POS and inventory systems to support order fulfillment. This full-time role offers year-round benefits.

Qualifications

• Three years’ sales experience.
• Industry knowledge in plumbing, electrical, hardware.
• Associate degree or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Engage with regular and prospective commercial, industrial, and wholesale customers to solicit orders.
• Talk with customers on sales floor or by phone; cold calls and occasional travel to customer locations.
• Maintain product and industry knowledge in plumbing, electrical, hardware, and other industrial lines.
• Manage emails and incoming calls from customers.
• Estimate delivery dates and arrange pickup or delivery options.
• Use point of sale and inventory control programs to facilitate sales.
• Manage and grow customer relationships; resolve problems.
• Suggest new products to purchasing team; source non-stock items.
• Monitor stock levels and advise on replenishment.
• Attend vendor training.

While our core business remains supporting the commercial fishing industry, we have expanded our offerings to include industrial and sport netting, hydraulic sales and services, wholesale and industrial supply, recreational marine and outdoor products, as well as online sales.

Responsibilities

Job Summary: LFS is seeking a self-driven team player with the ability to build strong, long-term customer relationships in the industrial and wholesale community by providing exceptional sales and customer service experience.

Essential Functions:

• Engage with regular and prospective commercial, industrial, and wholesale customers to solicit orders.
• Talk with customers on sales floor or by phone. Cold calls and occasional travel to customer locations are a component of the position.
• Has product knowledge and industry knowledge in plumbing, electrical, hardware and other industrial lines.
• Manage emails and incoming calls from customers.
• Estimate date of delivery to customer and arranges pick up or delivery options.
• Use point of sale and inventory control programs to facilitate sales.
• Manage and grow customer relationships.
• Investigate and resolve customer problems.
• Suggest new products to purchasing team.
• Sources non-stock items and works with purchasing team to bring in special order items.
• Monitor stock levels on key products and makes min/max suggestions for replenishment.
• Attend sales training put on by vendor representatives.

This is a full time, 40 hour per week, year round, fully benefited position.

Qualifications

Job Requirements:

Required Qualifications (education, years of experience, KSAs)

• Industry knowledge in one or more of the categories.
• Three years’ sales experience.

Preferred education and experience

• Associate degree (AA) from two-year college or university; or one to two years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Work Environment:Retail Sales, Warehouse, Offices The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, feel and talk or hear, to stand; walk; reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must routinely lift and/or move up to twenty pounds. The employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 30-40 pounds.
