Job summary

Republic Extrusions is looking for an experienced Maintenance Technician with strong hydraulic systems expertise to keep our extrusion presses and support equipment running at peak performance. This role is built for a hands-on troubleshooter who knows presses inside and out - reading hydraulic schematics and understanding the impact of downtime on operation.

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years of industrial maintenance with a focus on hydraulic systems.
• Experience with aluminum extrusion or heavy press equipment preferred.
• Ability to read hydraulic and electrical schematics and manuals.
• Proficient in mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair, and maintain hydraulic systems on extrusion presses.
• Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on presses and related equipment.
• Troubleshoot faults using schematics and diagnostic tools; drive root-cause analysis.
• Rebuild and calibrate hydraulic components; maintain fluid cleanliness and pressure specs.
• Respond quickly to press-down calls and restore production.
• Read and interpret hydraulic, mechanical, and electrical schematics for repairs.
• Support installation, alignment, and startup of new or rebuilt equipment.
• Collaborate with production teams to improve reliability and uptime.
• Follow all plant safety and LOTO procedures.
