Job summary

Sun Test Systems Inc. in Huntsville, AL seeks a Hydraulics Mechanic responsible for assembling, testing, and troubleshooting hydraulic systems and components according to schematics, blueprints, and hand sketches.

You will fabricate and install hoses, manifolds, valves, pumps, motors, and cylinders, perform pressure tests and leak checks, maintain records, and guide junior mechanics as needed to support safe operations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 2–4 years hydraulic, mechanical, or industrial maintenance experience.
• US citizen or eligible to work under federal programs.

Responsibilities

• Reads and interprets hydraulic schematics, mechanical blueprints, and hand sketches.
• Selects hoses, tubing, fittings, and materials.
• Fabricates and installs hydraulic hoses, hard lines, valves, manifolds, pumps, motors, and cylinders.
• Performs hydraulic pressure tests, leak checks, and functional tests.
• Maintains complete records, documentation, and test data.
• Provides guidance to lower-level mechanics.
• Collaborates effectively with coworkers, customers, and management.
