The Hydraulic Systems Technician is responsible for installing, plumbing, testing, and troubleshooting hydraulic systems on dredges, booster pumps, and related equipment. This role works from hydraulic schematics, blueprints, and engineering instructions to complete full system installations while coordinating closely with Engineering and the Lead Hydraulics Systems Technician. The ideal candidate is a hands‑on technician with strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and experience working with hydraulic components and systems.
While performing the duties of this position, the employee is frequently required to stand, speak, and hear. Regular activities include walking; reaching with hands and arms; climbing or balancing; and stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling. Work may occasionally occur in confined spaces and at heights up to 20 ft. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10lb. and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 lb. Specific vision abilities required include close and distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
