Job summary

Torch Technologies, Inc. seeks a Mechanical Fluids Design Engineer to design and validate complex hydraulic fluid systems for DoD platforms, leveraging SolidWorks/SolidWorks Simulation and ASME standards. The role covers from concept to fabrication, requiring strong teamwork with engineers and program managers on multiple platforms.

Qualifications include a U.S. citizenship and an ABET-accredited degree with 5+ years’ experience and an active SECRET clearance.

Qualifications

• U.S. Citizenship required; ABET-accredited degree in Mechanical Engineering, Physics, or Mathematics.
• 5+ years of related experience and an active SECRET security clearance.
• Experience designing MIL-STD compliant hydraulic/fluid systems.
• Proficiency with SolidWorks or CAD for development of detailed parts and 2D drawings.

Responsibilities

• Design and evaluate complex mechanical and electro-mechanical systems.
• Develop hydraulic fluid systems: design, schematics, flow analysis, pressure/stress calculations per ASME standards.
• Create FEA/CFD analyses to validate mechanical and electromechanical designs.
• Prepare engineering reports and up to Level III technical data packages for reviews and fabrication readiness.
• Collaborate with project engineers, fabricators, writers, and program managers to ensure fielding of systems.
