Job summary

Torch Technologies, Inc. in Huntsville, AL, is seeking a Mechanical Fluids Design Engineer with strong fluids and controls experience to support the ACE TD unit. You will design MIL-STD compliant hydraulic and electro-mechanical systems from concept through fabrication and test.

The role requires U.S. citizenship, a Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering (ABET), 5+ years of related experience, and an active SECRET clearance.

Qualifications

U.S. Citizenship required.
B.S. in Mechanical Engineering, Physics, or Mathematics from ABET-accredited program.
5+ years of related experience.
Active SECRET security clearance required.
Experience with fluid systems design.

Responsibilities

Develop hydraulic fluid system designs, including schematics, flow paths, and pressure analysis.
Perform piping design, routing, and stress calculations per ASME standards.
Select and integrate valves, manifolds, regulators, filters, pumps, and instrumentation.
Create FEA-based analyses for structural, thermal, and flow validation.
Prepare technical data packages and design reviews.
Support production and fielding of systems with cross-functional teams.
