Job summary

The role focuses on translating data into functional machine designs, documenting with CAD, and coordinating shop activities to meet customer specs while collaborating with engineering and manufacturing teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, 5+ years of related experience.
• CFPS or IFPS certification preferred but not required.
• Strong understanding of fluid power, manifolds, and electrical control systems.
• Familiarity with HyDraw, MDtools, Autodesk Vault, Inventor, and AutoCAD.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Must be able to lift/move up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Translates disparate, incomplete data such as sales notes, sketches, and customer specifications into functional hydraulic machine designs.
• Utilizes CAD software to document designs via machining, fabrication, and assembly models and drawings.
• Maintains organization and storage of project information using multiple data management systems per department policies.
• Directs and coordinates shop personnel in fabrication, assembly, and testing to ensure designs meet engineering and customer specs.
• Works collaboratively in a team environment with clear communication.
• Demonstrates presentation, persuasion, and negotiation skills when working with customers and coworkers under pressure.
