Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Civil, Architectural or Structural Engineering or related discipline.
Professional engineering (PE) license.
10 years of related experience.
Domestic and/or international travel may be required. The frequency of travel is contingent on duties and workload.

Responsibilities

Analyze and design hydraulic structures for flood control, hydroelectric, and water resources projects.
Lead project teams of structural engineers and coordinate with multi-disciplinary teams.
Prepare project proposals with scopes, budgets, and schedules.
Forecast workload and schedules.
Prepare contract documents including drawings, specs, design criteria, costs and bid docs.
Perform engineering services during construction and review submittals.
Conduct inspections and assessments of existing structures and prepare reports.
Present technical presentations to project team, clients, and review boards.
Analyze risk and perform potential failure mode analyses for hydraulic structures.
Manage tasks on large projects or multiple medium projects.
Review work to ensure deliverables meet codes and standards.
Monitor budgets and project schedules.
Participate in business development, marketing, and recruiting.
