Job summary

Motion & Flow Control Products, Inc. seeks a Hydraulic Repair Technician in Fairbanks, AK to repair and rebuild hydraulic and pneumatic cylinders, pumps, motors, valves, and related equipment. You will diagnose issues, read schematics, and perform repairs to ensure reliability.

You will work with a team in a shop environment, document work, support field service as needed, and uphold safety and customer service standards.

Qualifications

• Experience working with hydraulic components and equipment.
• Understand measurement techniques and metric/SAE conversions.
• Have basic hand tools (wrenches, sockets, etc.).
• Able to read hydraulic schematics.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent oral communication and relationship-building abilities.
• Detail oriented with good organizational skills.
• Must work well with a variety of people and be present in the office.

Responsibilities

• Performs repairs and rebuilds on hydraulic and pneumatic cylinders, pumps, motors and valves, DC power units, PTOs, and high-pressure components.
• Evaluate equipment, determine failure reasons, prepare parts list and labor estimate, and perform timely repairs.
• Develop, maintain, and share current product knowledge with the team.
• Provide technical resources for others in the organization.
• Assist with field service work as needed.
• Address and resolve customer requests, complaints and objections with a positive approach.
• Coordinate with departments to ensure customer satisfaction and safety guidelines.
