Danfoss in Ames, IA is seeking a Product Application Engineer to serve as the primary technical resource for customers using our hydrostatic pumps and motors in off-highway machines.

You will bridge customers with engineering teams, translating needs into practical, high‑quality solutions while training internal staff and external customers. A hands‑on, collaborative mindset is essential for success in this role.

Qualificações

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Agricultural, or related Engineering field.
• 3+ years of experience in a similar application, product, or design engineering role.
• Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly to both customers and internal teams.
• A strong hands-on aptitude and a passion for working with mechanical and hydraulic systems.
• Experience with off-highway, construction, or agricultural equipment is a significant advantage.

Responsabilidades

• Act as the go-to technical expert for our customers and internal sales teams, providing the critical product support needed to win new business.
• Champion special customer requests from start to finish, collaborating across engineering, operations, and purchasing to deliver custom solutions.
• Create and deliver engaging product training for both internal teams and external customers, making complex technical information easy to understand.
• Serve as the voice of the customer within our business unit, ensuring their technical needs and feedback are at the heart of our product decisions.
• Author clear and accurate technical documentation and customer notifications that ensure our product information is always world‑class.
