Job summary

Danfoss is seeking a Product Application Engineer in Ames/Minneapolis area to be the technical go-to for hydrostatic pumps and motors in the off-highway market. You will translate customer needs into actionable solutions and collaborate with engineering, operations, and purchasing.

This role combines hands-on lab work with strategic problem solving, training teammates and customers, and shaping product decisions. Strong mechanical and hydraulic aptitude and clear communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Agricultural, or related Engineering field.
• 3+ years of experience in a similar application or design engineering role.
• Strong communication and hands-on mechanical/hydraulic system skills.

Responsibilities

• Act as the go-to technical expert for customers and internal sales teams.
• Champion special customer requests from start to finish with cross-functional collaboration.
• Create and deliver engaging product training for internal teams and external customers.
• Serve as the voice of the customer in product decisions and documentations.
