Job summary

The Legacy Companies is seeking a skilled operator to daily set up and run a hydraulic CNC press in our fabrication shop. This role supports other operators as needed and sits within the cross-functional Metal Forming team.

Primary duties include selecting tooling, loading and setting up tools, meeting time standards, recording work, and performing preventive maintenance. A strong teamwork and quality focus is essential in our fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Strong metal press forming and basic fabrication background.
• Minimum 1 year experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Basic knowledge of fabrication, hydraulic press and/or punch operations.
• Competent with basic dimensional measuring and precision tools.
• Basic shop math and ability to read blueprints.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate a hydraulic press for routine work.
• Select tooling for the job with setup documents or supervision.
• Load and correctly set up tools with supervisor assistance.
• Meet time standards and quality expectations.
• Record time and work completed via data system.
• Safely operate a forklift to move materials.
• Make routine decisions and resolve basic manufacturing issues.
• Report material, production and quality control issues.
• Participate in operator-level preventive maintenance.
