Job summary

Motion Industries in Chattanooga, TN is seeking an Assembly Tech - Hose to support the hose assembly work group by building hydraulic hose assemblies to factory specs for external customers.

You will assist customers with hose parts, cut and fit hoses and fittings, inspect assemblies, manage inventory, and perform related duties. A high school diploma or GED is typical; basic computer/Outlook skills and hand tools are required.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a high school diploma or GED.
• Knowledge of hoses, thread configurations, and hydraulic basics.
• Ability to use computer and Microsoft Outlook; proficient with basic shop tools.

Responsibilities

• Assists and enables industrial customers in assembling hydraulic hose parts or components through familiarity and knowledge of vendor's products.
• Cuts, fits, and assembles hose and hose fittings and inspects or tests completed assembly.
• Ensures proper inventory is maintained by counting, reordering or shipping materials.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
