Job summary

Torch Technologies is seeking a Mechanical Fluids Design Engineer to support the ACE Technical Development unit in Huntsville, AL. You will design MIL-STD compliant hydraulic fluid systems and complex electromechanical assemblies from concept through fabrication and test, interfacing with government customers to ensure program success.

The role requires a versatile engineer with SolidWorks and hydraulic design experience, the ability to perform analyses, and strong knowledge of ASME standards.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Physics, or Mathematics from an ABET accredited institution.
5+ years' related experience.
U.S. Citizenship; active SECRET clearance.

Responsibilities

Develop hydraulic fluid systems designs including schematics, flow paths, and pressure/flow analysis.
Create and review piping design, fittings, valves, and regulators per ASME standards (B31.3).
Perform FEA/CFD/thermal analyses and generate technical reports for design validation.
Collaborate with project engineers, fabricators, and program managers to field systems.
