Job summary

MBDA Incorporated is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to support development and design of mechanical systems in Huntsville, Alabama. The role involves creating detailed drawings, documenting interfaces, and maintaining CAD records for rapid, multi-disciplinary collaboration.

The ideal candidate will have a mechanical engineering degree with 2–4 years of experience, strong CAD skills, and the ability to communicate clearly in a fast-paced environment. U.S. DoD Secret clearance is anticipated.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering.
• 2–4 years in mechanical systems development and design.
• Experience with CAD software and detailing documentation.
• Ability to obtain DoD Secret clearance.

Responsibilities

• Develop mechanical designs and supporting documentation.
• Prepare studies, conceptual designs, layouts and drawings.
• Create and maintain interface and installation drawings.
• Develop control plans and other design documentation.
• Maintain CAD databases and records.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on projects.
• Communicate technical information clearly in writing and presentations.
• Ensure designs meet project requirements and standards.
