Shannon & Wilson is an employee-owned consulting firm based in Seattle, WA. We seek an Entry-Level Hydraulic Engineer to join our geotechnical and environmental services team, supporting field assessments, design of hydraulics structures, and habitat restoration projects.

The role requires a civil/hydraulic engineering background with EIT preferred, willingness to travel, and strong writing and client-service skills in a collaborative, safety-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil/hydraulic engineering; Master’s preferred.
• EIT certification or equivalent.
• Experience with open channel hydraulics and river mechanics is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform field assessments, stream and fluvial characterization and data collection.
• Perform hydrologic and hydraulic analyses and design tasks.
• Develop plans, estimates, and specifications for habitat restoration and hydraulic structures.
• Provide construction observation and client support.
• Develop proposals and manage project scopes and schedules.
