Wilson Engineers invites an experienced Hydraulic Engineer to join the Reno, Nevada team. The role focuses on hydrologic and hydraulic modelling, floodplain studies, and drainage design for water resources projects in Northern Nevada.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years drainage experience, a Bachelor's in Engineering, and proficiency with HEC-RAS/HEC-HMS/Flo-2D, ArcGIS, and QGIS. Relocation assistance is available for well-qualified applicants.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering required.
• Minimum 5 years of drainage experience.
• PE license preferred.
• Proficient with HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, Flo-2D.
• Proficient with ArcGIS and QGIS; GISP desirable.
• Proficient in Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepares hydrologic and hydraulic models using HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, & Flo-2D.
• Prepares hydrologic and hydraulic studies and FEMA permitting.
• Oversees drainage design and construction drawings.
• Produces graphics for presentations and documents.
• Mentors EIT staff in hydro/hydraulic theory and practice.
