Job summary

Poclain Hydraulics is seeking a reliable Assembly Technician to join our 2nd shift in Sturtevant, WI. You will assemble hydraulic motors and subcomponents, follow drawings, and adhere to safety and quality standards on a fast-paced line.

Ideal candidates have hands-on mechanical experience, proficiency with hand and power tools, and the ability to read instructions in English. This role emphasizes teamwork, accuracy, and adherence to 5S workplace practices.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English is required.
• Mechanical aptitude & understanding of the assembly process.
• Ability to interpret blueprints and technical drawings.

Responsibilities

• Assemble hydraulic motors & subcomponents according to engineering drawings, SOPs, and torque specs.
• Install seals, bearings, shafts, and rotating components using manual & pneumatic tools.
• Apply torque using calibrated torque wrenches & powered fastening equipment.
• Perform press-fit operations requiring controlled hand-force & component stabilization.
• Conduct visual & tactile inspections to ensure proper fit & alignment.
• Read & interpret assembly drawings, work instructions and quality check sheets in English.
• Record production data & complete required documentation.
• Identify nonconforming components and elevate per procedure.
