Job summary

Strata Decision seeks a Senior Security Engineer to join our Security team and advance our Zero Trust framework across on‑prem and cloud infrastructures. The role entails collaboration with IT, DevOps, and client teams to improve security postures while maintaining high reliability and performance.

A hybrid work setup in Chicago supports in‑person collaboration. The candidate will deploy and tune SIEM/EDR/XDR and other security solutions, automate security operations, and communicate complex

Qualifications

• 4–6 years of security experience.
• Certifications such as CCIE, CCSE, GIAC, or equivalent.
• Strong analytical skills; ability to resolve multi-location issues.
• Experience with scripting and Terraform is a plus.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills.
• Strong communication skills with all levels of management.

Responsibilities

• Mature Strata’s Zero Trust program with policy refinement and tooling.
• Manage identity, access and secure connectivity controls (MFA, conditional access, privileged access, least privilege).
• Collaborate with IT, networking, security and business teams to resolve access issues and security events.
• Strengthen enterprise security controls across endpoints, cloud, SaaS, AI, identity, network and data protection.
• Lead deployment and optimization of security tools (SIEM, EDR, XDR, IAM, cloud security).
• Implement automation to improve security operations and reduce false positives.
