Experis is seeking an IBM z/OS Mainframe Storage Engineer to support mission-critical storage platforms in Chandler, AZ. The role emphasizes BAU operations, automation, cyber-resilience, and storage service delivery to enable developmental and production workloads.

The ideal candidate has 7–12+ years of hands-on experience with IBM Z storage, DS8000, GDPS, and z/OS I/O architecture, operating in a regulated enterprise environment. On-site with a hybrid 3-day-per-week schedule.

Qualifications

• Strong experience with IBM Z mainframe storage.
• Hands-on DS8000 Copy Services and GDPS experience.
• FICON, SAN concepts, and enterprise storage controls knowledge.
• Experience with DR, resiliency and immutable backups.

Responsibilities

• Operate and support IBM DS8000 mainframe storage environments.
• Design, implement, and support Metro/Global Mirror, Global Copy, HyperSwap.
• Support GDPS-managed replication and multi-site resiliency architectures.
• Implement Safeguarded Copy / immutable backups and cyber-resilient recovery designs.
