Job summary

Jobot, a growing regional insurance-defense firm, seeks a Workers’ Compensation Defense Associate Attorney to join its hybrid team across Southeast locations. The role offers a competitive salary range of $100,000–$165,000 per year and an 1,800-hour billable requirement.

You will handle representing employers and insurers, conduct depositions, draft motions, and develop strategy while enjoying mentorship and flexible hybrid scheduling across Greenville, SC and other offices.

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school.
• Active bar admission in the applicable state.
• Prior workers’ compensation or insurance-defense experience preferred.
• Litigation experience strongly valued.
• Strong legal writing and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Represent employers, insurers, and third‑party administrators in workers’ compensation matters
• Manage claims from initial referral through resolution
• Conduct depositions
• Prepare for and attend hearings, mediations, and settlement conferences
• Draft motions, briefs, and other litigation documents
• Review medical records and evaluate causation and damages
• Develop case strategy and provide recommendations to clients
• Communicate regularly with carriers, employers, and insured clients
• Negotiate settlements and assist with trial/hearing preparation
