Ideal candidates hold a J.D. from an accredited law school with active bar admission and prior workers’ compensation or insurance-defense experience.

Qualifications

• J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school.
• Active bar admission in the applicable state.
• Prior workers’ compensation or insurance-defense experience preferred.
• Litigation experience strongly valued.
• Strong legal writing and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Represent employers, insurers, and third-party administrators in workers’ compensation matters.
• Manage claims from initial referral through resolution.
• Conduct depositions and prepare for hearings, mediations, and settlements.
• Draft motions, briefs, and other litigation documents.
• Review medical records and evaluate causation and damages.
• Develop case strategy and communicate with clients.
