The role focuses on reducing exposure, managing multi-jurisdiction claims, and collaborating with adjusters, attorneys, and HR partners. The position requires a Bachelor's degree and 3–5 years of WC experience, strong analytical and communication skills, and proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required with a minimum of 3-5 years of workers' compensation experience.
• Excellent judgment to evaluate claim management activities and mitigate expenses.
• Strong analytical and organizational skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Excel/Word/Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Interface and strategize with claim adjusters, defense attorneys, HR staff and Loss Control Managers.
• Work as a team member with other claims professionals, reporting to the WC Claims Manager; reduce exposure and mitigate costs.
• Manage all assigned claims to closure; monitor nurse case management activity and settlement proposals.
• Collaborate on action plans and evaluate claim life exposure.
• Identify opportunities for quick, cost effective claim mitigation and return-to-work of disability claims.
• Oversee claim handling for multi-jurisdictions, ensure QA and compliance with internal standards, and analyze trends.
• Evaluate claim trending to determine focus and mitigation goals.
• Responsible for managing financial impact of $4 million in losses.
• Assist WC Manager and Loss Control Director on special projects.
