The role handles multiple accounts, primarily in Missouri, with potential Illinois work. Training onsite followed by a hybrid schedule combining in-office and remote work.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of workers’ compensation claims experience or related insurance experience.
• Knowledge of workers’ compensation claim handling practices and life cycle.
• Ability to independently manage a full caseload of moderate-complexity claims.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, client-focused environment.
• Reliable and predictable attendance during business hours.
• Experience handling Missouri workers’ compensation claims.

Responsibilities

• Investigate and adjust workers compensation claims per CCMSI guidelines.
• Review medical, legal and invoices to determine reasonableness and relation to claims; negotiate disputed bills.
• Authorize and pay workers compensation claims per program and authority.
• Negotiate settlements with claimants and attorneys within authorization.
• Assist in selection and supervision of defense attorneys.
• Assess and monitor subrogation claims for resolution.
• Prepare reports detailing claims, payments and reserves.
• Provide reports and monitor files for excess insurers.
• Ensure compliance with team service commitments.
• Deliver high-quality claim service to clients.
