Job summary

GHD is expanding its Water & Wastewater team and seeks a dynamic Project Manager to lead major water and wastewater infrastructure projects. Based out of our offices in Columbia, Hilton Head or Savannah, you will manage project delivery, budgets, schedules, and client engagement, with opportunities to shape win strategies and pricing for new work.

You will mentor staff, recruit top talent, and collaborate with leaders across the Southeast Region in a hybrid work model (3 days in office).

Qualifications

• Bachelor's and/or Master's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in planning, design and construction of water/wastewater infrastructure.
• Strong understanding of consulting engineering business and municipal agencies.
• Business development, proposal preparation, and marketing skills a plus.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills; ability to lead and mentor staff.
• Willingness to travel to project sites and client meetings (primarily day trips).

Responsibilities

• Lead project teams and oversee delivery of water and wastewater projects.
• Manage budgets and project schedules to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery.
• Serve as primary client contact and build strong client relationships.
• Contribute to bid/tender responses and win strategies for new work.
• Mentor team members and collaborate with Southeast Region leaders.
