Job summary

The Greater Boston Food Bank is seeking a Vice President of Technology Operations to lead technology operations, security, and enterprise systems across GBFB’s distributed sites. You will own the reliability of infrastructure, network, and end-user services, and drive modernization to support moving millions of pounds of food efficiently.

Qualifications

• Ten or more years of professional technology experience with at least five years in leadership and managing a full IT operating environment.
• Strong cybersecurity program ownership in an organization with limited dedicated security staff.
• Experience managing managed service providers or outsourced delivery models.
• Experience owning ERP/warehouse management systems in distribution/logistics.
• Proven track record leading system integration or modernization projects.
• Experience with CAPEX and OPEX budgeting.
• Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to executives and Board members.
• Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent practical experience.
• Direct experience with NetSuite and Salesforce.
• Experience operating where data/analytics sit in a partner function.
• Certifications such as PMP or ITIL.
• Nonprofit, food banking, or mission-driven experience preferred.
• Demonstrates digital competencies across full range of digital technologies at GBFB.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day technology operations across infrastructure, network, endpoints, telephony, and end-user support at GBFB sites.
• Own cybersecurity end-to-end — identity and access management, endpoint protection, email security, vulnerability management, incident response, and awareness training.
• Maintain business continuity and disaster recovery plans for sites and cloud systems.
• Define enterprise architecture direction: integration patterns, master data ownership, release management, and technical debt reduction.
• Lead replacement of manual bridges with supported, documented integrations.
• Partner with Strategy & Intelligence to align data flows to analytics and AI initiatives.
• Manage PMO and contracts with technology vendors and managed service partners.
• Oversee budgets and project portfolio including forecasting and ROI.
