Job summary

World Relief in Durham, NC seeks a Volunteer Coordinator to empower churches and volunteers to serve immigrants. This hybrid role blends in-office collaboration (4 days) with one day of remote work, supporting volunteer programs and intern coordination.

You will recruit, train, and manage volunteers, maintain records, and collaborate with program managers to meet community needs. A Christian faith and strong administrative skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Mature Christian faith and commitment to World Relief values.
• Ability to manage dozens of volunteer relationships simultaneously.
• Strong writing and public speaking skills.
• Experience coordinating volunteers or programs preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and direct ongoing volunteer opportunities and programs.
• Recruit volunteers through churches, events and social channels; process applications and background checks.
• Train and supervise interns; coordinate Welcome Houses arrangements.
• Build metrics, maintain records, and connect volunteers to opportunities.
