Job summary

General Motors LLC is seeking a Controller System Integration Manager to lead embedded control product development within the VMEC organization. The role emphasizes technical leadership, cross-functional collaboration, and delivering on-time software and hardware integration across vehicle programs.

The position requires deep automotive experience, real-time embedded software expertise, and strong program management skills.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Computer Science or equivalent engineering field.
Minimum of 7 years of engineering/technical experience.
Minimum of 7 years of experience in real-time embedded software systems and related areas.
Minimum of 5 years of experience as a technical project lead or project manager.
Experience leading meetings and driving results in cross-functional teams.
Strong analytical skills and ability to handle complex problems in automotive development.

Responsibilities

Define and manage embedded control product development and release plans to ensure on-time, high-quality delivery.
Coordinate between calibration, SW DRE, SWIM, SWIL, and Hardware DREs to resolve issues.
Act as integration manager and primary interface with customers and development partners; track deliverables.
Refine, maintain, and prioritize the team backlog.
Lead or support key meetings (Daily Stand-up, Software Execution Team).
Provide technical leadership and direction for products; escalate issues for exec visibility.
Collaborate with Leads to upscale software needs; guide corrective action for issues.
Own system-level PRTS through PRC to identify issue owners.
