Job summary

Ford Motor Company seeks a Systems Integration engineer to work with embedded hardware, sensors, and industrial networking, across Linux, QNX, and real-time software. You will join a cross-functional team delivering ADAS and Autonomy technology, shaping complex hardware-software interfaces.

You'll prototype with cameras, RADAR, LiDAR, and power systems, develop requirements, and collaborate with suppliers to integrate new hardware. Hybrid onsite four days a week in Dearborn, MI.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical or computer engineering or related field.
• 5+ years hands-on embedded systems and automotive sensor experience.
• Experience with Linux, Embedded Linux, or QNX.
• Proficiency in C/C++ and Python in production environments.
• Knowledge of UART, SPI, I2C, CAN/CAN-FD, automotive Ethernet.

Responsibilities

• Learn and maintain high-level hardware/software platform understanding.
• Analyze, integrate, and implement complex applications across hardware and software.
• Prototype with embedded hardware and automotive sensors; test and validate.
• Develop hardware/software requirements and work with suppliers.
• Document learnings and present to diverse audiences.
