Job summary

Wayve is seeking a Site Reliability Engineer for Vehicle Software in Sunnyvale to own the reliability stack for our vehicle software. You will work across observability, incident management, and deployment tooling to detect, triage, and resolve issues in production.

You will collaborate with software, field, and operations teams, debugging real systems and shaping the SRE approach for vehicle-centric systems. The role demands hands-on coding and strong communication in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Write production-quality code daily in Python, C++, or Rust.
• Debug at Linux/system level, reading logs and tracing failures to root cause.
• Experience with CI/CD, containerization, networking, distributed systems, observability and incident-management tooling (DataDog, Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry, Splunk, Humio).
• Able to diagnose complex production/operational systems and see issues through to resolution.
• Strong cross-functional communication and collaboration across engineering, operations and field teams.
• Based in Sunnyvale and onsite at least three days a week.

Responsibilities

• Build and improve tooling, automation, observability, and incident-management for vehicle software reliability.
• Collaborate with field engineers, software teams, and operations to diagnose reliability issues and improve performance.
• Own hands-on debugging across Linux, low-level systems, logs, metrics, traces, and production data.
• Develop reliability improvements to reduce manual intervention and speed up issue detection, triage, and recovery.
• Support vehicle-centric operations, including safety-operator tools and reliability needs of customer and partner programs.
