Job summary

Grand Canyon Education is seeking a Billing Specialist in its Military Division to join our Phoenix team. The role will serve as Certifying Official for VA enrollment verification and coordinate with government agencies, while enjoying a hybrid remote work arrangement that may require in-office presence two days per week.

You will review VA applications, perform compliance checks, prepare and invoice Direct Bill vouchers, and collaborate with campus partners to resolve inquiries.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited four-year college or university.
• 2 years in collections or A/R billing is preferred.
• VA Certification, invoicing government agencies, A/R billing, or Military experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Process, review, and approve all Veterans Benefits applications.
• Perform Compliance Audits of VA student accounts for accuracy and timely reporting.
• Receive, document, and invoice government Direct Bill vouchers to appropriate billing agencies.
• Collaborate with military division departments on student questions.
• Build rapport with government entities to establish long-term relationships.
• Interface with internal/external customer service on student inquiries.
