AFC Urgent Care, Memphis, TN, is seeking an experienced Clinical Scribe/Medical Assistant for a fast-paced, hybrid role combining real-time documentation with hands-on MA duties. You will support providers and the patient-care team in a high-volume urgent care environment.

The ideal candidate has MA certification, experience with Experity EMR, and strong clinical documentation skills, enabling efficient patient flow and accurate charting from arrival to discharge.

Qualifications

• Experience using Experity EMR for real-time documentation.
• Medical scribes or real-time clinical documentation experience.
• Experience in urgent care, emergency medicine or high-volume outpatient settings preferred.
• Medical Assistant certification or equivalent credential.
• Proficiency in medical terminology and electronic medical records.
• Strong typing skills with accuracy under pressure.
• Comfort with phlebotomy, point-of-care testing and lab work.
• Ability to switch between documentation and hands-on patient care smoothly.
• Excellent attention to detail, communication and organizational skills.

Responsabilités

• Document visits in Experity in real time, including HPI, ROS, exam findings and treatments.
• Prepare charts for provider review and completion.
• Enter diagnoses, orders, prescriptions and discharge information as directed.
• Track pending labs and imaging and alert the provider when ready.
• Maintain HIPAA compliance and accurate documentation throughout shifts.
• Room patients, obtain vital signs and medical histories.
• Assist with examinations, procedures and treatments.
• Perform point-of-care testing and specimen collection.
• Provide discharge instructions and follow-up care guidance.
• Support rapid patient flow during busy periods.
