Job summary

Apple Bank is hiring at our Bethpage branch for a Universal Banker role. You will serve as a single point of contact for customers, handling transactions, opening accounts, and referring clients to licensed staff when appropriate.

The position is hybrid, combining Customer Service Representative duties with Teller tasks. We offer a $2,000 sign-on bonus after six months, excellent starting pay with incentives, comprehensive benefits, and a 401(k) with match.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1–2 years of retail banking experience in Teller/Customer Service roles.
• General understanding of banking operations (Risk, Compliance, Fraud, Loss).
• Experience in fostering and developing customer relationships.
• Ability to master banking products and services knowledge.
• Willingness to cross-train in other branch functions.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service and resolve issues promptly.
• Explain product features and banking options to clients.
• Identify opportunities to grow banking relationships and refer to licensed staff.
• Build and deepen relationships to hit sales and referral goals.
• Handle teller operations and safeguard cash and instruments.
• Assist in opening/closing vaults and maintaining a tidy customer area.
• Communicate disclosures and FDIC protections at account openings.
• Ensure accurate record-keeping and timely follow-ups.
