Job summary

Prisma Health's Laurens County Medical Campus is seeking a Unit Secretary / Patient Care Tech. This hybrid role primarily acts as a unit secretary and will also perform basic nursing assistant duties to support the Cardiac Telemetry unit.

Under supervision of licensed staff, you will handle reception, respond to patient calls, perform data entry, assist with ADLs, monitor safety, document in EMR, and help maintain a clean, safe environment.

Qualifications

• Education - Nursing assistant or related training preferred.
• Experience - no experience required.
• Previous nursing assistant/PCT/MA/EMT experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform unit secretary duties at the nurse's station.
• Provide basic nursing assistant support with ADLs.
• Handle data entry, minutes, bulletin boards, and forms.
• Assist with inventory and supply management.
• Document in EMR and inform RN of changes.
• Support patient safety and comfort initiatives.
