Job summary

Prisma Health seeks a dedicated individual to serve as a Unit Secretary and Monitor Tech in the Telemetry Surveillance department. You will greet visitors, handle patient calls, provide clerical support, and monitor patient safety systems under the guidance of a registered nurse.

Responsibilities include maintaining patient records, coordinating supply stocking, and ensuring a safe, organized work environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required or preferred.
• No prior healthcare experience required, but healthcare exposure is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Greet visitors and respond to patient calls at the nurse's station in a courteous, professional manner.
• Provide clerical support including data entry, meeting minutes, bulletin boards, and downtime forms.
• Assist with supply ordering, stocking, inventory, and PAR level monitoring in collaboration with the nurse manager.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and functional patient environment in line with regulatory standards.
• Monitor designated patient safety systems and alert RN on any changes in cardiac rhythm or telemetry.
• Document telemetry strips and manage transmitter boxes and telemetry reports per policy.
